17th May is always a school day for The Norwegian School in London, but what an amazing experience it is!
We enjoyed a very active and fun sports day at Wimbledon Athletics ground with jumping, running, throwing, brilliant co operation and whole hearted effort by all students. We might even have some European champions among us, as we also compete against the other Norwegian Schools abroad.
We had a wonderful day when the school opened its doors to all parents, grandparents, neighbours and other visitors. Such an exciting week of science here this week! We are hatching baby chicks in the library and children have science lessons each day around this. This morning the first two hatched, to the delight of children, parents and staff alike.
We are back at school today after last week’s winter break and the London weather is simply glorious! Blue skies and the flowers are beginning to show in the gardens. A great way to start the week.
Yesterday our clever year 1 & 2 children sang at the British Foreign Office to the delight of both British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, and Norway’s own Foreign Minister Børge Brende.
