We enjoyed a wonderful 17th May here in London. Trine Skei Grande, the culture minister for Norway , came to visit our school in the morning. We raised the flag, had speeches, songs from years 1-7 and music from our children’s band. After a delicious breakfast arranged by FAU most people travelled up to Southwark Park in the traditional Route master busses, a really British experience on this special Norwegian Day!

In the park we had a brass band from Norway leading the children’s parade, children’s games arranged by our senior school children, bouncy castle, plus more speeches and entertainment on the bandstand. The sun shined all day and everyone was happily exhausted and full up with ice creams, hot dogs, solo and waffles galore by the end of the day.

Our celebrations even made it into national BBC news, see here;
